How YourBedtimeStory handles child-related information under an adult-managed model.
YourBedtimeStory is meant to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian. We design the service to minimize child data, avoid child-directed advertising, and give parents clear controls over stories, profiles, consent, export, and deletion.
What we collect
We collect parent account identifiers, subscription and consent records, child profile preferences, prompts, generated stories, and audio needed to provide the service. We do not ask children to create standalone accounts and do not request children's email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, videos, or precise geolocation.
How we use it
We use this information to deliver stories and audio, keep accounts secure, process payments, send service communications, support reminders you choose, and enforce safety controls. If a parent includes a child's name in a story request, it may be processed transiently to generate the requested content.
When we share it
We share data with service providers only when needed to run the product, such as hosting, authentication, billing, AI generation, moderation, text-to-speech, email delivery, and reliability monitoring. We do not use child profile data for targeted advertising.
Parental choices and controls
A parent or legal guardian can review or update profile information, request export, request deletion, withdraw optional consent, review child-related information we hold, or ask us to stop future collection tied to continued use of the service. These controls are available through in-app settings or by contacting privacy@yourbedtimestory.com.
