Account Deletion
How deletion requests work, what gets removed, and what we retain during the grace period.
Effective date: 2026-03-13. Questions about privacy or these terms can be sent to privacy@yourbedtimestory.com or support@yourbedtimestory.com.
1. How to request deletion
If you are signed in, open Settings and use the Delete account control. For security, deletion requests are tied to the authenticated account and are logged in our compliance records.
2. If you cannot access the account
If you cannot sign in, email privacy@yourbedtimestory.com or support@yourbedtimestory.com from the account email address and explain that you want the account deleted. We may ask for limited verification information before acting on the request.
3. What happens after a request
After a deletion request is accepted, the account enters a 30-day grace period. During that time access is restricted, reminders and normal account use stop, and the request can be reversed only through support-assisted recovery.
4. What is permanently deleted
After the grace period, we permanently delete the user record and dependent content, including child profiles, generated stories, audio chunks, subscriptions, and stored export archives, subject to routine technical backup cycles.
5. Records we may retain or anonymize
To comply with legal, security, and audit obligations, we may retain or anonymize limited records such as consent logs, certain audit entries, or billing evidence instead of keeping them directly linked to you.
